May 1st

As of today I can say that my wedding is next month.  I am so happy to be able to say that.  I am currently getting our RSVPs back and am getting our rehearsal invites out.  I have had two showers which both were wonderful and very different from each other.  I loved them both.  So much still to do but it is coming together just fine.

Invitations--Done!

Our invitations are currently sitting in the mail bin waiting for Anthony to pick them up and let them get delivered to the wonderful people invited to our wedding.  I made them all with a little help from BM Lisa and Mr. R.  But mostly I did the work.  This effort has taken months, many months.  I am so happy they are finished and about gone.  I made 123 in total and here is what I did.

First I had planned on using the quickutz epic 6 system and letter pressing my invitations.   I ordered the plates I needed from boxcar press and used their directions on how I should do this.

The beginning, all the tools were ready.

I was excited and ready to start letter pressing but then this kept happening.

Some of the image blurred on purpose.

I was not happy.  But I didn't let this get to me so I went out that same day and bought this.

I started printing everything on this wonderful printer that I am very happy with.
The top one is from the printer and the bottom my letter press mess.

I printed out this pile in no time.  I was so happy.

But since I bought the epic 6 and wanted to use it I decided to get an embossing plate in paisley.
I did each one by hand.  The next pictures shows what they look like up close.
 So pretty.

I bought A2 matchbooks from Paper Source in night and cut out and created a pocket on the one side that I personally glued in by had each and every one.  I don't ever want to do that again.

Then I placed the invitation and reception card in the matchbook, and used eyelets to secure the invitation in place. Just to let you know I made a big mistake with my RSVP which I had wanted to include in the pocket with the reception card.  What I failed to see was that the side with the pocket was shorter then the side with the invitation so I needed to cut down the reception card and RSVP to fit in the pocket.  This was not possible for the RSVP which was suppose to be a postcard to save on stamps.  Well you will see shortly how I did the RSVP and now it is with an envelope and I did pay more for stamps.  Oh well I am happy with the way it turned our.

Back-Mr. R helped cut some ribbon and print some RSVP envelopes.

Return Address I printed on the envelopes.

Already to fly to their new homes far away from me.  This was a love hate relationship and I am glad it is over.

Did anyone else have a love hate relationship with their invitations?

Hair and make up trial

Well here are pictures from my hair and make up trial.  I will be doing my hair differently then what I got done.  I have decided on a half up half down style.  But here are my pictures anyways.

My veil and shoes

So I discovered I hadn't posted on here in a while.  I have been trying my best to get my invites done and out.  I hope to post about that in the next couple of weeks.  I have been taking photos of what I am doing and I will get my act together as soon as they are done.

So much planning has been happening.  My family came to visit and we did some planning although most of it didn't happen that day due to people not being available to talk to us but we worked stuff out and I did most of it after they left.  More decisions to make but it is getting better.

I wanted to show you I bought my veil and my shoes.  Here are some pictures.

As you may be able to see in the mirror I had a friend looking on.  That would be Gilbert.

And just for fun a picture of my and Mr. R at a hockey game last weekend.  I don't plan on doing that again.

Honeymoon

We booked our tickets to Portland for our honeymoon.  We also reserved a cabin in the woods for part of the week that we are there.  I am so excited about the place it looks so secluded and beautiful.  Very peaceful.
